Cruise travel Packing List
(1 vote)
When you take a transatlantic flight from JFK to Heathrow for a week’s casual stay in the British capital, may be you take a spare suit, a couple of dress shirts, a night gown and a few pair of socks. But your cruise travel packing list, when you are taking a pleasure cruise in the Caribbean or somewhere else for that matter, could be a mile long. The reasons for this great anomaly are not difficult to judge. In the former case, you are covering two large internationally famous metropolitan cities where everything is available at the drop of a hat whereas in the latter, all that you get for free are waves of the brackish water. As for the availability of consumer durables when you get ashore, it is mostly uncertain and inexplicably expensive. The only alternative, under such circumstances, is to carry your home in your lap. This could be quite bothersome for many, but then, what else to do.

Alaska cruise and Alaska cruise season
(1 vote)
Planning an Alaska cruise would be the coolest feel ever! The cold and sparkling blue waters awaits you to quench your thirst and the whopping humpback whales treat you to a visual spectacle.

Alaska, located in the north west of the North American continent, is the largest state of the United States stretching up to 586,000 square miles. Though most of Alaska is frozen and thus extremely difficult if not impossible to venture into, the coastal regions are a delight for the cruiser. An ideal Alaska cruise season would be from May through the month of September every year. For the rest of the year, it is too cold to enjoy a pleasant cruise. The months of June, July and August are the hottest part of the year with a record high temperature of thirty-eight degree Celsius. Naturally, these months would be the peak time to plan a cruise to Alaska and so the prices are higher at this time too. So it is essential to know what the Alaska cruise season is so that you can plan your Alaska cruise well.

Planning a European Cruise
(2 votes)
Europe is the den of rich culture, amazing art, splendid natural beauty and history that make it a fantabulous cruise destination. Being relatively compact, Europe is a popular spot for the cruisers. Europe has a smart network of roads and rail stations that allow quick and easy access to any corner and this lets cruisers see many of the offshore attractions as well. Most cruise ships sail during the night and reach the ports of call early in the morning which frees the travelers to sightsee for the entire day. Some cruise ships even offer guided tours to the important sites. You need to unpack only once while on the cruise, irrespective of an ocean cruise or a European river cruise? Thus if you are opting for a comfortable vacation, then European cruise is the answer.

How long are cruises?
(1 vote)
The fact is, there is a lot of variety in the cruise holiday you can go to, and this variety is not just in the destination where you are going or the cruise liner you are selecting. The cruise length also varies a lot. Cruises can be long or short, depending on the itinerary and the time available to the passenger. And of course the budget is also always one of the factors that help a person decide on what kind of cruise he wants to be on. Yes questions such as how long are cruises and the one you should opt for will depend on many things. So how long are cruises – while shorter cruises range from just 3 night cruise vacation plans to 10 days, there are longer cruise holiday options where the number of days can go even up to a staggering 130 nights on board the ship. These are invariably ‘world’ or ‘round the globe’ cruise plans.

Where can I go on a cruise vacation?
(1 vote)
Read more...If the question is, “where can I go on a cruise vacation”, the answer would be anywhere under the sun almost, provided of course there is water there. There are cruises galore for you to pick up from. You can take a boat to Australia to see the coral reef or visit the Mediterranean to taste a bit of Europe. If I were you, I would have preferred a voyage through the Nile and ask the sphinx what they had been doing all through the millenniums sitting smug among the pyramids. Or better still, sail through the Amazon and have a twist with an Anaconda for a change. Yes, a cruise holiday can be on the sea or it can be on the river too. Cruising can be great fun when you have carefully selected from the many cruise packages that are out there.
